Using NetOrderFlow on a phone or iPad
How the app behaves on a handset in the field: taps, the cart sheet, patchy signal, and installing it to the home screen.
NetOrderFlow is built phone-first: the order wizard, the catalogue, and the cart are all designed to be worked one-handed while standing in someone's stockroom. Everything a rep needs is available on a handset — nothing is desktop-only.
Getting around
- The bottom bar holds Home, Orders, New, Customers, and More. More opens the full menu, including Settings for admins and Support for everyone.
- The top bar has the Help icon, which opens guidance for whatever screen you are on.
- The order wizard steps across the top; the sticky bar at the bottom always holds the next action and the running total.
The Items step on a small screen
- The catalogue fills the screen; the cart lives in a slide-up sheet so it never pushes the products off-view.
- The sticky bar shows the line count and total — tap it to open the cart sheet.
- Adding an item flashes the tile, shows a quantity badge, and drops a short "just added" strip with an Undo, so you can confirm without opening the cart.
- The bottom bar tucks away as you scroll down the catalogue and comes back as soon as you scroll up.
Patchy signal
The wizard keeps a snapshot of the in-progress order on the device as you type, in addition to saving a Pending draft to the server. If the connection drops mid-order, keep going — what you type is held locally.
You can keep typing without signal, but saving, committing, searching customers you have not already loaded, and exporting all need a connection. Get back into coverage before you leave the site, and confirm the order shows as Saved or Committed rather than Pending.
What autosave does and does not keep
Install it to the home screen
- 1iPhone or iPad, in Safari: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- 2Android, in Chrome: tap the menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
- 3Open it from that icon afterwards — it runs full screen, without the browser chrome eating vertical space.
A private or incognito window throws away the on-device draft snapshot when you close it, and can sign you out between sessions. Use a normal window for real order entry.
Field habits that avoid trouble
- Pick the customer first — pricing, addresses, terms, and tax all follow from it.
- Check the cart sheet before leaving the Items step; quantity mistakes are easiest to catch there.
- Commit before you drive off. A Pending order is a draft and will never be exported.
- If a screen looks wrong on your specific device, send a support request from that screen — the device and screen size are attached automatically.
